Embark on this excursion to explore the highlights of the West Bank of Luxor, starting with a visit to the necropolis in the Theban Mountains, where you will descend into three royal tombs in the Valley of the Kings. Admire the mesmerizing Mortuary Temple of Hatshepsut and marvel at the Colossi of Memnon.
Itinerary
Pick-up at your Luxor accommodation by your tour guide for a drive to the West Bank past the modern and ancient villages of Qurna to visit the old necropolis in the Theban Mountains on the West Bank of Luxor. We start at the spectacular Valley of the Kings, where you will descend into 3 Royal Tombs.
Next is a visit to the rock-cut Mortuary Temple of Queen Hatshepsut in Deir El Bahari, where your guide will show you the colorful murals of the Punt Expedition and explain how Hatshepsut became the most famous female Pharaoh in Egyptian history. You will have time to wander around the temple terraces by yourself.
The last stop will be a unique photo opportunity at the magnificent Colossi of Memnon, two immense statues guarding the ongoing excavation of the Mortuary Temple of Amenhotep III.
You will be brought back to your Luxor accommodation.
